Sydney Opera House is a very famous 20th century distinctive building. Sydney Opera House is an arts Centre in Sydney, Australia.  The Opera house was opened on 20th October 1973. It was recognized by UNESCO a world heritage site in June 2007. The edifice has different venues to perform various programmes.  The facilities are,

  1. Concert Hall: It has a seating capacity for 2679. The Concert hall is used for Orchestra and other concert presentations.

  2. Joan Sutherland Theatre: This theatre has about 1500 seats to occupy.

  3. Drama Theatre:  It has 544 seats. This is usually used for dance and theatrical presents.

  4. Playhouse: It is an end stage theatre with 400 seating space.

  5. Studio: Here we have flexible seats to fold up and maximum seating capacity is for 400 members.

  6. Utzon Room: This room is for multipurpose venue and parties, corporate functions and small productions like chamber music events.

  7. Recording Studio: This studio has multiple recordings facility.

  8. Outdoor Forecourt: This is open air venue with configuration changes.

1. RAIA Merit Award in Year 1974; this award is for outstanding architecture.

3. RAIA civic design award in 1980.

The nearest airport of Sydney Opera house is Kingsford smith airport, Sydney which is 10 km away from Sydney Opera House.

The nearest railway station is Circular Quay station. Taking a train to Circular Quay should be no problem, and from there, the Opera House is just a short walk.
