Shari Arison Biography And Motivational Quotations:

Shari Arison was born on September 9, 1957 in New York City. Shari Arison is an Israel’s businesswoman and philanthropist and Israel’s wealthiest woman. Shari Arison is the owner of Carnival Cruise Lines and Israel’s Bank HaPoalim. According to the Forbes, in 2007, she is the Middle East richest woman and the only woman to be ranked in the region’s top-20 richest people.  As of 2014, Forbes estimated Shari Arison prosperity at US$ 4.9 billion, making her the fourth-wealthiest person in Israel and 312th-wealthiest person in the world.

Early Life And Career Life:

Shari Arison was born to the businessman Ted Arison and Mina Arison Sapir in New York. She has an elder brother, Micky. Her parents divorced in 1966 and she moved to Israel with her mother. She returned to the US at the age of 12 to live with her father and five years later she moved to Israel in order to enlist in the Israel Defense Forces. Arison’s father died in 1999 and she got 35% of assets from his father. She caused a large amount of protest after 900 workers were fired from Bank HaPoalim in 2003.  Shari Arison served as the chairman from the early 1990s until 2009 to the Arison Investments, Arison Group, The Ted Arison Family Foundation, and Established and Chaired Essence of Life and All One. Arison sponsored Israel’s third annual “Good Deeds Day” in which her non-profit organization, Ruach Tova in March 2009, thousands of Israelis were inspired to get involved in volunteering across the country.  Shari Arison developed a unique values-based model, to bring fundamental human values to the core consciousness of businesses, communities and organizations. It is the first values-driven leadership model of its kind, practically combining 13 human values in any activity, benefiting all aspects, society, economy and ecology.  Shari Arison was awarded the Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree in 2013, from George Mason University. In 2010, Shari Arison was awarded the America-Israel Friendship League’s partners for Democracy award. She was named Honorary Fellow of the Decade at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya in 2005. Arison also received the Knesset’s (Israeli’s Parliament), annual Medal of Light (Itur Ha` or) for the Ted Arison Family Foundations, contribution and devotion to holocaust survivors and for Arisons activity within the Israeli society and for the state of Israel in 2016.

Personal Life:

Shari Arison has been married and divorced three times. Jose Antonio was her first husband; they had three children. Miki Dorsman was second husband; they had one child and her third husband was Ofer Glazer.


  • In 2009: Arison’s first book, Birth- When the Spiritual and the Material Come Together, became a bestseller in Israel.

  • In 2013: Arison published her book Activate Your Goodness: Transforming the World through Doing Good, an instant NY Times bestseller, and a bestseller in Israel.
