Jim Rohn Biography

Emanuel James Jim Rohn was born on September 17, 1930 to Emanuel and Clara Rohn in Yakima, Washington.  Jim Rohn was an American entrepreneur, motivational speaker and author. He grew up in a farm in Idaho. His parents sent him to his local school for gaining knowledge of sound convention. During the entire span of his academic life, he was vocal about him not being to exposed to learn about life itself. After one year he left the college and settled for a life job. He worked as a stock clerk for department store Sears. Rohn joined Shoaff’s direct selling AbundaVita as a distributor in 1995. Rohn resigned his distributorship in 1957 and joined another direct selling company; Nutri-Bio. The company’s founder; Shaoff personally taught Rohn with the fundamental principles of life such as personal growth in a job.  Thus Rohn changed to his new way of life. Rohn built one of the largest organizations in the company, after this mentorship. Nutri-Bio expanded into Canada in 1960; Rohn was selected a vice president for the organization by Shaaff and the other founders. In early 1960’s Rohn left from the Nutri-Bio business, Rohn was invited to speak at a meeting of his Rotary Club.  He accepted and soon, he invited by others at various luncheons and other events. He then began presenting seminars all over country, teaching his personal development philosophy and telling his story. He conducted a number of seminars for Standard Oil throughout the 1970’s and he also participated in  “Adventure in Achievement”; a personal development business. Rohn presented seminars worldwide for more than 40 years. In 1985, Rohn received CPAE Award from National Speakers Association for excellence in speaking and he also author of 17 different written, audio and video media. On December 5, 2009, Jim Rohn died of pulmonary fibrosis.
