SAT is now the most acceptable undergraduate program considered all over the world mainly the US. Cracking the SAT exams is quite easy if you have learned from the right resources and the right way of preparing. Therefore you need to show a good amount of dedication and full focus on your syllabus to crack the SAT exams. Here are a few things that can help to crack your SAT exams with a good score:
1. Start Early Preparation
This strategy is not only for SAT examination but probably for every other exam you give. If you are preparing for SAT exams you must have complete information earlier. You should start preparing a year before giving exams. Practicing early will always help you to score good marks. Preparing at the earlier stage, on one hand, helps you to give more time to your weaker section and on the other hand, you can also brush up your area of strength. You should plan your time table when it comes to SAT exam preparation. Follow your schedule of studies with full dedication and sincerity will only going to benefit you.
2. How difficult is it?
The SAT question paper is divided into 3 sections, easy, hard and difficult. Although there are three sections all three sections contain the same marks pattern. Therefore just start with answering the easy and medium level of question on priority bases in less time. If you give more time on difficult questions, you might leave out the easy question of which you know the answers. Therefore always tries to get your paper with easy questions first. Don't spend a lot of time on hard once.
3. Eliminated the wrong options
While answering the multiple-choice questions, if the question is easy, you know the answer to the question which is always right. But if you are going to give an answer to the difficult question, where you don't know the answer, you can eliminate the completely wrong options that will increase your chances of choosing the right answer. You can use this strategy to eliminate the choices in difficult questions.
In the SAT exam every question comes with the five choices, where if you eliminate one or more possible wrong answers, it will increase the chances of getting the correct answer. Your chances will become 25% or better. And for the incorrect guess, you will just lose one-fourth of a point and the correct guess will give you whole point.
4. You must avoid random guesses
If you don't know the answer to the question, you must avoid answering it, especially for the multiple-choice questions, since the scoring formula of the SAT has penalties for incorrect answers. So, if you guess and choose the wrong answer you may even lose points that you get in the right answer. Therefore instead of answering all the questions, leave the questions you don't have any clear idea and just move on to the next question.
