What you need to know when buying a warm blanket: criteria for choosing a blanket for the winter
If you have already decided what kind of blanket to buy for long winter evenings and nights, do not rush to run to the store.
There are a few more nuances to keep in mind:
Sewing technology (distribution of filler in a blanket). You can choose quilting (parallel sewing lines), cassette (sewing with cells-squares) or step (sewing with patterns). The best options are 2nd and 3rd.
Cover material. It is better to choose natural fabrics: percale, satin, and jacquard. The material should be breathable, durable, solid and soft and should also hold the padding firmly in the case.
Label. It must contain the following information: manufacturer, country of production, care characteristics, the cover's composition and filler. If you see the NOMINATE inscription, this is a blanket with natural filling.Smell. It must be natural and free of foreign aromas and chemicals.
Sewing quality. Of course, a conscientious maker will not allow the threads and filler to stick out of the blanket and the lines to be crooked.
Information on the label sewn to the blanket and the outer label must be identical.
