You can write checks instantly after running payroll in QuickBooks by clicking the "Print Paychecks" button, or you may go to Employee>Payroll Center and see how many checks are ready to print. Step 1: Select a printer.
Select the printer you want to send the checks to from the drop-down option.
Step 2: Select a printer type.
Using the drop-down menu, select the printer type. Continuous (perforated edge), page-oriented (single sheets), or laser printing are all options (single label).
Step 3: Select a Check Style
After that, pick a check style. You have the option of choosing between a voucher, a standard, or a wallet.
Step 4: Enter the number of copies you'd like to make.
Put the number of copies you want to print in the box below.
Step 5: Examine the Extra Features
Select any other criteria by checking the box next to them. You can select to print collated sheets, your company name and address, a company logo, and/or a signature image on your checks.
Step 6: Change the Font (Optional)
Both the check font and the address font can be changed if you want to.
Step 7: Double-check the page's orientation
The page orientation can be changed from the default "portrait" to "side" or "center."
Step 8: Printing Checks
Select "Continue" once everything appears to be in order. You'll get a message requesting you to double-check that your checks are written accurately. If that's the case, click "OK," and you're done! Your payroll checks are printed and ready to be distributed to your employees.
