Harvard University is a private Ivy League research university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Harvard University was established in 1636. Harvard University is one of the world's most prestigious universities. This university is a large, highly residential research university. Its logo has a shield with three books and the Latin motto “VERITAS” which means Verity or Truth.

It is Harvard's main campus and spaced with 209-acre. Cambridge campus is centered on Harvard Yard in Cambridge. Harvard Yard has central administrative offices,  main libraries of the university, academic buildings including Sever Hall, University Hall, Memorial Church and the majority of the freshman dormitories. Each residential house contains rooms for undergraduates, house masters, resident tutors as well as a dining hall & library. The facilities were made possible by a gift from Yale University alumnus Edward Harkness.

Allston Campus:

Allston campus occupies in 358 acres and contains Harvard Business School and many of the university's athletics facilities, including Harvard Stadium. The John W. Weeks Bridge, a pedestrian bridge over the Charles River, connects the two campuses.

Longwood Campus:

Longwood has Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health. These three are located on a 21acre land.

Campus Life:

The housing system at Harvard is designed to create a full collegiate experience for all four years of undergraduate education. As freshmen, students live in one of the dormitories in Harvard Yard, a prime location, and eat in the historic and picturesque Annenberg dining hall.

Admissions:

You may apply to Harvard under either Early Action or Regular Decision program, both of which allow you to compare admission and financial aid offers from other institutions and to wait until May 1 to make a final college choice. Early Action candidates apply by November 1 and receive notification by mid-December. Regular Decision candidates apply by January 1 and receive notification by late March.
