September comes in between August and October every year. The month of September has 30 days and it is the third month to consist of thirty days after April and June. It is ranked with the 9th place among all the twelve months in seriation. The climate that is experienced in the northern hemisphere in September is observed with similar meteorological milieu in March in some parts in southern hemisphere. September 1st indicates the beginning of autumn in northern hemisphere for meteorological calculations whereas the same date is considered to commence the season of spring by meteorologists in southern hemisphere. September is considered to set the ball rolling for the ecclesiastical year by the Eastern Orthodox Church.  The name for the month September had its roots in the Latin word “Septem” denoting the number seven which was the old rank given for the month in the ancient Julian calendar prior to inclusion of the months January and February. The name continued to be in vogue even in modern times.
