Seaborgium Element:

Seaborgium is a radioactive synthetic chemical element. It is named after the American nuclear chemist Glenn T. Seaborg. Its atomic number is 106 and indicated by the symbol Sg. The element does not occur naturally and it is created artificially in the laboratory by bombarding californium-249 with oxygen-18 nuclei. In the periodic table it is a d-block transactinide element. It is belongs to the group 6 elements and a member of period 7 in the periodic table. Seaborgium contains 12 isotopes with known half-lives. The most stable is 269Sg, which has a half-life of about 3.1 minutes.

Uses Of Seaborgium Element:

Only a few atoms of seaborgium have ever been produced and its isotopes have very short half-lives. For this reason, at present it is only used in scientific research.
