Copernicium is a radioactive synthetic chemical element. It was named after astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Its atomic number is 112 and indicated by the symbol Cn. The element does not occur naturally and it is created in laboratory. In the periodic table it is a d-block transactinide element. It is belongs to the group 12 elements and a member of period 7 in the periodic table. Copernicium contains 7 isotopes with known half-lives, which are synthesized in the laboratory. The most stable isotope is 285copernicium, with a half-life approximately 29 seconds.

Uses Of Copernicium Element:

Only a few atoms of Copernicium have ever been produced and its isotopes have very short half-lives. For this reason, at present it is only used in scientific research.
