Uses of Cobalt Element:
- Co is used to make magnets. Co is alloyed with aluminium and nickel to make powerful magnets.
- Other alloys of cobalt are used in jet turbines and gas turbine generators.
- Radioactive cobalt-60 is used to treat cancer
- Co salts are used to produce blue colours in paint, glass, porcelain, pottery and enamels.
